Tuuletar (FI)

TUULETAR (“Goddess of The Wind” in Finnish Mythology) is a vocal folk hop -group, consisting of four diverse young women. Since 2012 these vibrant singers from Finland have been singing, composing and performing together, creating their own and unique sound.

Tuuletar takes influences from all around the world, inspired by sounds from American hip hop to South Asian folk, all while keeping their feet strongly rooted in Finnish language and musical heritage.

With their freshly invigorating and self-composed music, they are pioneering the genre of Vocal Folk Hop, enchanting audiences globally with their heartfelt, tribal and captivating spirit.

In July 2015 Tuuletar dazzled in their breakout performance in Austria’s Vokal Total competition, taking home the top honors among European pop vocal groups along with the Audience Favorite award.

Tuuletar released their debut album “Tules Maas Vedes Taivaal” (On Fire and Earth, In Water and Sky) in June 2016. The album was recorded in the USA with Liquid 5th Productions and rose right away to the Top 10 in European World Music Charts as well as Transglobal World Music Charts.

Over the next year, Tuuletar will have several international tours as well as individual performances throughout the world, including Japan, Germany, USA, Russia, Taiwan and India.
